BCTC Career Exploration Event
In 2025, the Workforce & Economic Development Committee partnered with Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) to host the Career Exploration Event, bringing together professionals from industries including manufacturing, hospitality, technology, engineering, and more. The event created an engaging space for students to ask questions, explore career paths, and gain valuable insights into the opportunities available within our region’s thriving workforce.
October is Manufacturing Month
Each year, the Workforce & Economic Development Committee proudly supports Manufacturing Month Tours, connecting local manufacturers, schools, and professional volunteers to inspire the next generation of talent. In 2025, the committee coordinated 12 tour days involving 12 schools and 9 manufacturing companies, with 14 professionals volunteering their time to share industry insight. Partnering with Toyota to kick off the morning tours, students then rotated through other local facilities—gaining a firsthand look at the innovation and career opportunities within our community’s manufacturing sector.
