Supporting Our Community's Professionals
In 2025, Emerging Leaders proudly hosted a free Headshot, Résumé, and LinkedIn Review event that brought together both seasoned professionals and students just entering the workforce. The event was a tremendous success—offering guidance, encouragement, and genuine connection across all stages of professional growth. Building on that momentum, the committee is committed to hosting more events that uplift, empower, and connect the local professional community, creating opportunities for personal development and meaningful engagement throughout Georgetown and Scott County.
Impactful Community Events
The Emerging Leaders Committee is also focused on giving back to the community through meaningful and impactful events. In 2025, the group hosted a free Wildlife Lunch & Learn, inviting teachers and students on summer break to enjoy an educational and interactive experience with the Lake Cumberland Wildlife Refuge. Attendees learned about birds of prey, met reptiles and other fascinating creatures up close, and even had the chance to hold a few! Paired with a complimentary lunch, the event fostered community connection, curiosity, and appreciation for the natural world- an example of how Emerging Leaders continues to engage and inspire beyond the boardroom.
