The Georgetown-Scott County Regional Airport (27K) is conveniently located just 5 miles east of Georgetown, KY. and is just a short 20 minute drive to Lexington, KY and Paris, KY. The airport is located within minutes of interstates I-64 and I-75 for easy access to Cincinnati, Ohio and Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky.
The terminal was recently updated in 2010 to help accommodate both our private and corporate travelers. As a result, our airport was named the 2010 Recipient of The FAA Southern Region Airport of The Year Award.
The airport consists of a 5,500 foot runway with a parallel taxiway, three instrument approaches, along with high intensity lighting system.
We maintain one air charter operation on the field, plus we have 90 based aircraft on the field of which many are corporate aircraft. Storage of your aircraft is available : Four T-hanger buildings, each storing eleven aircraft; One series of six box hangars; Two 66×100 leasehold hangars; Two 100×120 corporate heated hangars; and a 80×100 community hanger.
AirfestKY is held at the airport each year with over 5,000+ visitors getting to see aircraft up close and personal. This includes planes used in WWII and private planes. It’s a great time for families, friends, and aircraft enthusiasts.
